next stop Cherbourg!

August 26, 2017

The Cherbourg Race is the last of the UK-based races of the RORC Season and will start this Friday. Compared to the Fastnet it is only 75 miles. I understand now I have to call it a Ladies Race as it is 125 miles short of a proper race. However it has all the ingredients of a proper race: a start, inshore challenges getting out of the solent and then switching to the offshore mode after the Needles, going left to France where we have to cross the finish line at Cherbourg. We will be ready and we will enjoy our last competitive sail of the season. I’d rather sail a Ladies Race any day than be at work…..

Watch this blog in case you’re unlucky and not sailing, we will tell you how much we will be enjoying ourselves on the water!
