Winsome bravo bravo!

Last race this season.

Same race as the last one last year prior to Sydney-Hobart Race 2008. Also this time Winsome won her Class IRC-2 but became 2nd in the overall ranking.

We had a prudent start considering our crew which was partially new and we had some luck that our spinaker boom did not break when she touched the water during our passage of the Solent carrying Spinaker II.

After we left the Solent and passed Bembridge Ledge Buoy the wind increased to some 25-27 knots, but we kept Genoa II plus our mainsail with one reef. Good decision initiated by Wout.

Navigation initiated by Pieter Köhne turned out to be perfect.

After passing the breakwater in Cherbourg the entire crew was ready to hoist again Spinaker II and we reached the finish at around 05:45 French time.

We are very very happy with this result.
